Kia: Sorento Reveal
The Challenge
For the first time, the Kia Sorento has three distinct flavors: sporty, rugged and hybrid. Kia wanted to highlight each vehicle personality through a virtual reveal that offered detailed product information for journalists, while also capturing and holding the attention of consumers.
The Idea
In a typical vehicle reveal, you start with a presentation and build toward the reveal moment. We opted to disrupt that formula to better suit a digital experience. By leading with the reveal video we were able to capture the attention of viewers and quickly communicate the personality of each vehicle.
Operating under strict COVID-19 protocols, we safely filmed the new vehicle and Kia executives on location in California to create a high energy reveal video with sleek motion graphics to deliver key product details.
The Result
The Kia Sorento reveal was covered by automotive media as a case study in virtual reveals.
